~Hi, I’m Jody~
I have been photographing people for more than twenty years, which still surprises me sometimes. I started on film, and have moved through more cameras than I can count. My approach is simple and honest, using natural light where I can, noticing the details, and the moments where people connect.
I photograph weddings and proposals, as well as kids, first dates, new careers, and growing families. Many of my clients have been with me for years. I have watched couples become parents, kids turn into teenagers, and families come back again and again. It is one of the best parts of this work.
I take on a small number of weddings each year so I can stay fully present—not rushing the day or the people in it. I also edit every image myself, which takes longer, but it means the photographs stay true to the light, the mood, and the way the moment felt.

My work has been featured in publications including The Knot, Engaged!, 7x7, and The Art of Capturing Love. I’m also an LGBTQ+ Inclusive Certified Photographer through Equally Wed, and I photograph couples and families of all identities—not as a category, but as part of the community I work with every day.
I have lived in Pacifica for more than two decades, raising two sons, alongside a dog who is fairly certain she runs the household. The coast shapes much of how I see—fog rolling in, light shifting without warning, plans changing with the weather.
I am drawn to candid moments... I give people space, watch the light, and wait for the small, unguarded moments that usually end up meaning the world.
