Hi, I’m Jody.

I have been photographing people for more than twenty years, which still surprises me sometimes. I started with film, worked my way through a lot of cameras, and eventually landed on an approach that feels right: natural light, quiet presence, and letting people be themselves without fussing over every angle.

I photograph weddings, proposals, families, kids, and people starting new chapters—dating profiles, headshots, confidence sessions. A lot of my clients have been with me for years. I have watched couples become parents, kids turn into teenagers, and families come back again and again. It’s one of the best parts of this work.

When I photograph a wedding, I take on only a small number each year so I can actually pay attention to the day—not rush through it. I edit everything myself, which probably takes longer than it should, but it keeps everything consistent and true to how the day felt.

My work has appeared in publications such as The Knot, Engaged!, 7x7, and The Art of Capturing Love, and I am an LGBTQ+ Inclusive Certified Photographer with Equally Wed. I have also photographed weddings up and down California, across the country, and in Europe.

I have lived in Pacifica for over twenty years with my two sons (now in college) and a dog who thinks she runs the place. The coast shapes a lot of my work—the fog, the light, the unpredictability. I don’t pose much. I just give people space, keep an eye on the light, and wait for the small, real moments that usually matter most.
