Some sessions stay with you long after they’re over, and this San Francisco engagement photography session at the Legion of Honor was one of them. These two Southern gentlemen radiate warmth — the kind of easy, genuine affection that makes my job feel effortless. Having known each other since childhood, they still finish one another’s sentences, break into shared laughter without prompting, and bring out a softness in each other that is beautiful to witness.
We wandered through the stately architecture and gardens of the Legion of Honor, pausing whenever the light or a quiet corner felt right. Between portraits, they settled onto benches, enjoyed the morning breeze, and simply enjoyed being together — which is exactly what I aim for in all my sessions. Real moments. Real connection.
Their gentle humor and unmistakable bond made each frame a joy to capture. Sessions like this remind me why I love creating natural, inclusive, warm photography for couples across the Bay Area.
