Wedding & Elopement Photography in San Francisco,  Wine Country & the Coast

Weddings come in many shapes — barefoot ceremonies overlooking the Pacific, intimate vows in a wine-country garden, evenings in the city with skyline views and champagne that arrives before nerves do. My role is to photograph these moments with a balance of calm direction and quiet observation, so you can stay present while I take care of the seeing.

How I Photograph Weddings

I follow natural light whenever possible, which keeps skin tones soft and scenes grounded. Portraits happen with gentle guidance that leaves room for movement and personality. The rest of the day unfolds candidly, which allows the small and unscripted moments to surface on their own.

What You Can Expect

Clear communication. A calm presence. Timelines that allow breathing room.  I work closely with couples who prefer photographs that feel like memory rather than performance.

Locations That Work Well

  • San Francisco offers architectural corners, parks with open shade, and coastal views that shift with the weather.

  • Napa and Sonoma bring vineyard light that behaves kindly in the late afternoon.

  • The Peninsula and Pacifica offer wind-softened views and quiet coves where smaller ceremonies find their place.

Who Hires Holman Photography

  • Couples who want wedding photography that feels warm and grounded.

  • Those who prefer a photographer who anticipates rather than interrupts.

  • LGBTQ+ couples who want a safe, comfortable, celebratory space in front of the camera.

  • Anyone who wants their photographs to feel like their day — not a template.
