San Francisco & Coastal Bay Area Family Portraits
Families are wonderfully unpredictable, which is why I photograph them in places that let everyone settle in, move a little, and enjoy themselves. My sessions lean toward natural light, gentle pacing, and the kind of direction that feels like conversation rather than choreography.
How Sessions Work
We start in comfortable light — usually open shade in a park or a quieter corner of the Presidio — which helps kids warm up and adults stop worrying about where their hands should go. There is room for climbing, regrouping, laughing, and trying again. If someone needs a snack break, we pause. The goal is photographs that feel like your family on a day when everyone is doing their best, not a performance.

Where We Can Shoot
The San Francisco Bay Area has reliable pockets of good light if you know where to look: Golden Gate Park, Presidio, redwood groves along the coast. Sessions can also take place in your home, or anywhere you feel most yourself. We will choose a setting for your photo session that feels right for you; the setting matters less than how you feel in it, which is why we choose together.
