Amy & Archie in the Redwoods
Amy and Archie, vibrant, full of smiles, and clearly very much in love, planned a wedding that was quintessentially part of their combined personalities. Under the canopy of redwoods, in a secluded area of Roberts Park in Oakland, guests stood for a short ceremony for which bride and groom wrote their own, sweet vows. Sunlight beamed through branches to give a glow to a row of baby's breath liningthe ceremony aisle. After a few quiet moments together post-vows, bride and groom invited guests to gather around picnic tables dotted with wild flowers to celebrate with a bbq and game of kickball for all ages... and, yes, including a few good kicks by the bride in gown, too. In keeping with the casual feeling of the day, the bride opted for flowers in lieu of veil and high tops instead of heels. The evening ended with dancing until the wee hours. It was heartfelt, beautiful, easy-flowing and endearing. It was absolutely beautiful!
