Leave it to a teenager to conceptualize a family portrait shoot that is fun, offbeat and a little irreverent.  Generations came together for this shoot in the beautiful Cypress cemetery where they could admire the beautiy of the place, and enjoy each other in the green, open spaces.  The giggles were endless, and the interactions between all of the family members delightful to watch.  I haven't had as much fun on a shoot in a while.

It couldn't have been a more beautiful day, with the sun dancing on the vines and rolling  hills for a backdrop for this Sonoma family reunion.  Family gathered for an afternoon grilling and playing on the lawn.  A gorgeous family, inside and out.

This child charmed the pants off of me... the baby blues, the Elvis curl!

I just love those moments when I stumble into the perfect light spot during the perfect moment… in this case, this intimate, new family moment coincided perfectly with the late afternoon sun glowing in through their backyard door. Both parents were intrigued, engaged, and perhaps still a little nervous about this new entity in their possession.  And it was an extra special time for me- my new niece!

This little one has a shy side, but also a mischievous glint in her eye. And once she smiled at me out of the corner out of her mouth the first time, I knew we were going to get along just fine. What an adorable family!

This family might seriously be one of the cutest I have ever seen! The kids never stop smiling (and getting their wiggles out). And this square at the Stanford chapel with a Rodin sculpture garden is a beautiful place to visit.

We found this pumpkin patch south of Half Moon Bay; it was a beautiful and fun place for letting kids be kids and capturing them at their cutest. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow over the years!
