Jody is great at insticively finding the important players of your life during the wedding weekend (family and friends of bride and groom - even that favourite auntie that usually hides in the background with most photographers). She just has a natural way with people, and is lovely! That said, I would always recommend that a person work with their photographer. The more time the photographer has to get to know who is important to you, the better your photos will be. We were lucky to have a 3/4-event wedding weekend. So over time all the guests got to know one another. Jody fit right in! Guests, friends, and family loved her. She has a nice way with light, and the details that the bride/mom spends so long deliberating over. Jody also has a skill for portraying the reality of an occassion such as this - humor, tears, laughter, funny looks, etc, plus she knows how to capture the bride and groom's true essence without forcing awkward poses. On top of all this, when she's not shooting more formal portrait type photos (necessary to spend time to get those right, and talk to the people involved), she is practically invisible - which helps to put people at ease - and because of this you are more likely to get quality shots of those guests who would pull a face in front of a camera or act too shy for such an occassion.
